Practice Areas

Robert practices in the areas of business reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, entity formations, succession planning for closely-held business entities, federal and state tax controversy matters, like-kind exchanges, and advanced tax planning. His primary focus is negotiating and structuring acquisitions and divestitures, planning with limited liability entities including limited partnerships, LLCs, LLPs, and LLLPs, real property valuations and transactions, and analysis of tax controversy matters. He also has experience in estate planning and wealth preservation.

 

Before going to law school, Robert served in the US Army working under the Special Operations Command. He later earned his J.D. from Stetson University and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. While in law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert A. Molloy in the U.S. Virgin Islands and gained litigation experience working at a Workers Compensation Defense firm in South Florida. Robert speaks four languages and spends much of his leisure time enjoying Idaho’s outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing.
